Great museum of 'old stuff', some of which I clearly remember using when younger!
A good general area museum, with a concentration on stories of the fire. We were well impressed!
I learned a lot about this tragic event that I had not previously even heard about. The artifacts are really neat and the individuals' stories were moving.
Very interesting and neat. Was the worst fire in United States history. Was 39 States. 1871. Entire city etc...gone in less than 1 hour.

This is a great musium discussing the Peshtigo fire which claimed more lives than the Chicago fire. Besides the history of the fire, this musium has interesting historical objects used in everyday life in the 1800s such as railroad lanterns, switches, and signals. Also kitchen, school, and general store supplies. They have a neat collection of handmade blankets and spectacles. The Peshtigo fire musium is a must see for any traveler!
