3) 6 months later, one of the gears in the transmission broke ($1400).
I know other people who have had similar experiences with this place, and would not recommend them. They lied to me about problems they knew full well about and tried to play dumb with me when I confronted them.
1) The day I looked at the car, they told me there was nothing wrong with it. When I test drove it, I shifted it into gear and noticed a slight shifting delay, which they told me was because of the AWD. Come to find out later that it was due to a bad seal in the transmission causing a delayed shift (which got much worse over time, from a one second delay when I bought it, to eventually up to a couple minutes before it would shift into gear).
The larger of the problems I experienced with them:
Purchased a vehicle from them; I have had too many problems with this car and would not recommend anyone to this place.
4) A year later, the head gasket blew out on it.
I brought the car in, and after a transmission specialist from another shop looked at it, he told the owner that it could either be "patched up" by using a sealant, or fixed right by replacing the gear box. The owner tried to convince me the sealant would be fine, but the specialist himself said it should be replaced. I refused to let him get away with trying to get out of properly fixing the car, and after putting up a fit about it, gave in to replacing it.
2) On the way home from purchasing the car (less than 10 miles from their shop), I noticed a significantly bad shifting issue that I did not experience when test driving the car (when giving it a lot of gas, it was revving up really high and slamming into a lower gear really hard instead of a smooth transition). The owner and salesman insisted this was "normal" for the car to slam into gear, which any person that has driven a car would know is not true. He tried to play dumb with me and act like I didn't know what I was talking about. After having several other people talk with him, he finally said they would fix it but he tried to convince me that I needed to pay the money to fix it, which was completely false and went against the warranty that they gave me with the car.
Rude staff. Horrible customer service. Will never shop there again.
